Anatomy Scan

So after a very busy two weeks of traveling home and UK site-seeing with the girls, it was time for me to return to my normal routine and get back to work. On the up side, my first day back at the hospital also happened to be my anatomy scan or 24wk ultrasound.
The purpose of this scan is to get a detailed view of how Baby is growing and developing in utero. Also it is important to note, that we confirmed that Baby Boy is still a BOY (you never know and its always nice to receive reassurance)! It was great to see him in such detail, from both a medical and maternal point of view. We were able to capture good view of his fingers and toes, spinal cord, kidneys and four-chambered heart. What an awesome site! Our little guy is measuring exactly to his date, which is great news! Another interesting find, Peanut has surprising positioned himself head down already...but as long as he doesn't try for an early escape, I have no complaints!
Things are still looking good for Jason to be home by the end of the month. We are both very excited about his homecoming, especially because he hasn't even seen our new home yet! We are also excited about taking a trip, as this will most likely be our last vacation together before the arrival of our little man :)
